first day

I had a great morning... Saw Savannah off on the bus, sent Ryan off to work, made a quick trip to Target for a couple of returns (I love only having to finaggle one kid in and out of stores running errands), came home and enjoyed some one on one time with my little boy, topped off with a great lunch together.

What? You don't care about my morning?? Oh, I forgot-- Savannah's the star here and it was her big day. Of course.
Without further ado...

She was so stinkin' excited today it was adorable to watch. The bus could not come soon enough for her! And she marched right on this morning like she was an old pro. Pics at the end of the rambling...
And she had a great day. It was so nice that she had no nervousness about this new adventure... no uncertainty or timidity. She was just nothing but excited and ready for this day to be here, eager to jump right into her classroom and her school days and be such a big girl!
She had a lot to tell me about when she got home this afternoon; for anyone who's curious, her favorite parts of the day were PE and having chocolate chip cookies for snack. :) I'm so glad she had such a great first day. She loves school so much! I hope she always has this much enthusiasm for it and that she always always talks and relays her school days with me like the time we spent when she got home today.

I don't know what else to say... I don't know how to get across how special this morning was. How big her smile was heading off to Kindergarten. How proud I was to see her spreading her wings like that. A day full of memories, for sure.

Here comes the bus!

i love it that she likes to sit in the front seat of the bus! i will have to enjoy it while it last because soon enough she will be sitting in the back seat and won't want to do her homework when she gets home from school.

Totally teared up a bit watching that video. So sweet! I love how she goes and sits in the front seat of the bus. Is Sawyer missing her when she's gone during the day?

Glad she had a great first day. We told Cloey on the phone last night that it was Savannah's 1st Day she seemed to have a sigh of relief about her 1st day next Monday. I hope she has a great year.
