We had Heather and her girls come over this morning and join us in a quick inaugural trip up to our pool. We were the only people there for almost the first hour in the pool... kinda nice! We packed some lunches up there and snacked away while the kids splashed away in the wading pool. We did dip into the big pool a bit before we headed back, but it seems with four non-swimmers and only us two mommies, that's a venture better saved for when the dads are around too!
Anyway, we were up there for more than a good two hours before the younger ones started getting a little bleary eyed, ready for some naps.
All in all it was a perfect day for our first (of many, many!) pool hang-out time of this summer!
Thanks for joining us girls!!
I didn't lug my camera up there, but I do have pictures from the kids' swimming lessons up at the city pool last night...
And looking over them this afternoon, I felt kinda bad that it seems I was a little snap-happy with Sawyer and tool only two whole pictures of Savannah. Oh well. She did afterall get all the camera attention by herself when at her lessons last summer. This just makes it even in the overall big picture, right? Right. Also, she spent all of her time last night either giggling with the girls on the edge of the pool or out swimming with her instructor in directions I couldn't even get a good angle on.
Meanwhile, Sawyer was hammin it up being extra cute waiting oh so patiently for his turn in the pool...
Okay, maybe not so patiently, Mr Grumpyface.
But he was cute-
Even though he had nothing to distract him from the fact that he was still waiting for his turn except for playing with Daddy's flip flops...
He did finally get to get in the water...
and after the hard work of doing some "laps" around the lazy river
he got to do his favorite...
And I know I almost cut him off in this one, but I just had to throw it in here for an example of how he has to tell us exactly how and where to stand to catch him (or not catch him) when he's jumping in the water.
I just love summertime and these little fishies I have. :)
And the fact that all this swimming wears them out so nicely...
Savannah raaaaaaarely takes naps anymore ever and after the few hours in the pool earlier, she thankfully napped today. In fact, it's almost 4:00 and they are both still sleeping!! Just in time to hit the pool again this evening! Ah, summertime!
