AFTERNOON HIGH TEMPERATURES SUNDAY THROUGH TUESDAY WILL AVERAGE IN THE UPPER 90S. THESE HOT TEMPERATURES COMBINED WITH EXPECTED HIGH HUMIDITY LEVELS...WILL RESULT IN HEAT INDEX VALUES RISING TO 105 DEGREES OR HIGHER IN THE ST. LOUIS METRO AREA BEGINNING ON SUNDAY. DANGEROUS LEVELS OF HEAT ARE EXPECTED TO PERSIST THROUGH THE FIRST HALF OF NEXT WEEK WITH HEAT INDICES OF 105 DEGREES OR HIGHER CONTINUING ON MONDAY AND TUESDAY. August is here in all it's glory.
We're headed out this afternoon to find some fun stuff to do. We were talking about a children's museum, or bowling (with the kids?!) but we might just go shopping since it's tax free weekend (gee, it's like we're back in Oregon!).
Then we're ready to hole up at home in the a/c or at the pool for the next few days. It is just gross outside... one of those days where you walk outside and you're immediately wet from a combination of sweat and the humidity in the air. The sun's not even out, the air is just thick and hot and heavy and humid. And it's only going to get worse for the next week. ugh.
