and this:
Excessive Heat Watch |
AN EXCESSIVE HEAT WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH TUESDAY EVENING. A LARGE AREA OF HIGH PRESSURE WILL BECOME ESTABLISHED OVER THE CENTRAL AND EASTERN UNITED STATES THIS WEEKEND...AND PERSIST INTO THE FIRST HALF OF NEXT WEEK. THIS WILL LEAD TO A CONTINUAL BUILD- UP OF HEAT AND HUMIDITY ACROSS THE MID MISSISSIPPI VALLEY REGION...AND THE HOTTEST STRETCH OF WEATHER SO FAR THIS SUMMER. AFTERNOON HIGH TEMPERATURES SUNDAY THROUGH TUESDAY WILL AVERAGE IN THE UPPER 90S. THESE HOT TEMPERATURES COMBINED WITH EXPECTED HIGH HUMIDITY LEVELS...WILL RESULT IN HEAT INDEX VALUES RISING TO 105 DEGREES OR HIGHER IN THE ST. LOUIS METRO AREA BEGINNING ON SUNDAY. DANGEROUS LEVELS OF HEAT ARE EXPECTED TO PERSIST THROUGH THE FIRST HALF OF NEXT WEEK WITH HEAT INDICES OF 105 DEGREES OR HIGHER CONTINUING ON MONDAY AND TUESDAY. AN EXCESSIVE HEAT WATCH IS ISSUED WHEN A PROLONGED PERIOD OF HIGH TEMPERATURES AND HUMIDITY IS EXPECTED. THIS WILL CREATE A DANGEROUS SITUATION IN WHICH HEAT-RELATED ILLNESSES ARE POSSIBLE. BEGIN MAKING PREPARATIONS NOW...BY MAKING SURE YOUR AIR CONDITIONING IS IN GOOD WORKING ORDER OR KNOW WHERE TO GO TO STAY COOL. |
ugh.
August is here in all it's glory.
We're headed out this afternoon to find some fun stuff to do. We were talking about a children's museum, or bowling (with the kids?!) but we might just go shopping since it's
tax free weekend (gee, it's like we're back in Oregon!).
Then we're ready to hole up at home in the a/c or at the pool for the next few days. It is just gross outside... one of those days where you walk outside and you're immediately wet from a combination of sweat and the humidity in the air. The sun's not even out, the air is just thick and hot and heavy and humid. And it's only going to get worse for the next week. ugh.

Welcome to Missouri and the great summer weather! ha! (do you hear the hint of sarcasm in there?)
SO what's this song?(who sings it)Why don't you replace it with a better one?(in your head). Sorry it is so hot and humid there. It is VERY nice here, with a breeze infact. An almost PERFECT day.Wish you were here.:)XOXOXOX
um... Mickey Mouse sings it. What's the matter, aren't you up on kids shows and theme songs?? ;)
That is our fave song around here! Gets the kids pumped in the morning when we have to get up & going & everyone is tired. I tell them I need them to give me a song & one stands on the stool & the other stands on the toilet lid so they are @ different heights & we bust into song w/ our hips a shaking! Hope you are braving the heat & enjoy the tax-free deals :)
Same weather here in Indy. It's miserable!!! Oh, and the hot dog song...Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, right?
Love it! :)
