check email/facebook on computer next door to his room while listening to him whine/talk himself to (hopefully) sleep

go in, lay him back down with his blanket and repeat goodnightnap

go in, attempt to lay him back down again, discover poopy diaper

diaper changed, snuggled for a few seconds, relayed in crib and said goodnight

whining/chattering getting louder, go to recheck/relay... find Remy standing up to rail in crib
(brand new trick!)
(and everyone knows when they learn that trick, they don't learn the second half -the getting down- for another few decades days)
remove from railing, lay him down, pat butt for minute, leave room
