unexcused absence

I don't have an excuse for missing class blog posts.
Although I could probably make something up and get a note from my mom, seeing as she's here staying with us for the next week...

I'm realizing that those couple of days last week when my days were pretty much wiped out by my blindness, set me back more than I thought. Along with the normal busyness around here, tack on three houseguests, a five year olds' birthday, birthday treats going to preschool, and a Birthday Tea Party with five of the newest five year olds' friends later in the week.
And the icing on the cake... really is icing on the cake. I'm attempting my first fondant covered cake for Savannah's party. I've always wanted to do it, and even though it's stressing me out and I'm really so so nervous about it, I'm anxious to see how it might turn out. I'm even going to attempt (keep your "you're asking for it" comments to yourself please) two tiers. But that's all for Friday.
Tomorrow is the bigger day. Our little Savannah Joy is turning 5!! I don't think that's truly hit me yet. A five year old. Soon to be a kindergartener. Where did she come from? Where did my baby go??
