finally friday

Friday could not come soon enough for me.
It seems like we've had a lot going on this week... I can't think of all that much right this moment, but it sure feels like it was packed!
Tonight we're having friends over for another big game night. 12 people!! I don't even know if we have any games that you can play with that many people! It'll be fun though; it'll be a nice mix of friends... some old friends, some brand new friends we've only barely met two weeks ago, and some neighbors.
And we're doing an big yummy Ice Cream Sundae bar. That's really what I've been looking forward to all week, LOL!

My house is super clean from having company last night, and conveniently we have plans to spend the morning with a visit to the Swinigans so my kids won't have a chance to destroy it. I mean the two hours we are home this morning is more than enough time for them to accomplish it, (see here if you don't believe me) but I'm honestly trying to keep them glued to the tv and at least corralled to one room while I fold the last of my laundry, get showered and dressed, make up a grocery list for this afternoon, and of course blog before we go. ;)

Friday question time!!!
I want to hear the best thing that happened to you over the past week. Anything at all. Brag it up. Did you have a good hair day? Did your kid do something heartmeltingly sweet and lovable? Did someone give you a compliment? Did you blow someone out of the water in a game of Nertz? (hi, that one is from me!) Did you get an email from a dear and long lost friend? (also me!!) Even if it was only a perfect piece of toast, I want to know about it.

Oooh your game night sounds so fun!
It's always nice to have something to look forward to that gets you through the week such as your sundae:)

I had two good things this week......
We accepted an offer on the last of our condos. This means, if all goes well, we can start looking for a house this summer! Also, my weightloss is up to 7lbs. :)

I lost a pound this week :) And, Bennett has shocked me a couple of times this week with his good manners...specifically, when I got out his new snow boots (he had a pair that were WAY too small last time it snowed) he beamed and said, "Tank you, Mommy! I needed these!"

Wish we could be at game night...

Hey Heather -
I had to comment when I saw "nertz" in the post, because that is our favorite card game ever! In fact, we're having a nertz party tonight. Glad to hear someone someone else has the obsession too!

My husband started building my photo studio downstairs - yay! And my son gave me a compliment - "Mom your hair is really nice" - 8 year old boys do not give compliments. Happy Friday!

Hmmm, probably that I hit the 2 weeks left mark on Wed. That was great! Other than that, not a whole lot happened. Instead of losing weight like the other ladies, I gained 2 lbs in 2 weeks!

I finished reading Huckleberry Finn after reading it for like 5 weeks! It was for a literature class. BIg accomplishment to make it through that book again!

I like your Friday questions. One good thing about my week was that I was finally able to 'freshen up' my bathroom with some new linens. New shower curtain, towels, and bathmats...sure beat the almost 8-year-old dingy looking stuff I've had in there! Also, my little boy learned how to wave this week:)

I miss game nights!!! Waaaah! Have fun tonight!

Good things this week: uhm... hmm... Probably sleeping in our own bed and not on a fold out chair at the hospital HAHA! Also all of Porter's funny little sayings and quotes.

The best part of my week was having my hubby make dinner and being able to relax and watch lost. Also, we didn't have school on Friday. :)

Getting used to my new haircut & styled it in a way that I like & received a few compliments. Also finished framing & hanging the new pictures of the kids & am finally satisfied with that arrangement.
