friday randomness

  • How can I be thinking Thank God it's Friday when in our house this was only a two day work week?!!
  • A new New Year's Resolution: no kid snacking on anything anywhere in the house except sitting down at the table. We now have a nice banana stain in the middle of the family room carpet. Yes, smashed, ground-in bananas left for an hour stain the carpet. Did you know?
  • I don't know what's more work... keeping two siblings separated for the majority of the day or keeping them from yelling/screaming/killing each other when they play together.
  • Been doing a bit of blog-housekeeping here and here.
  • Updates on the kids coming soon. I've been realizing in my past month of sporadic blogging, I haven't mentioned them and their goings-ons as much as I should. You know, since this is the extent of my scrapbooking/archiving milestones and such.
  • Did I mention T.G.I.F.?

I'm going to be a copycat and try a little Friday quiz each week as seen on one of my newer blog-loves Black Sheeped. Since weekends are usually so slow in the blog world, I'm going to leave you with some questions to answer when you come by...
Tell me; is there snow on the ground at your house, do you make your bed in the morning, are your toenails painted/unpainted/somewhere in between, and what are your plans for the weekend?

As for me:
No snow here... we had some light flurries on New Years and the day after, but nothing fun. I usually only make my bed if anyone's going to see it. Sometimes not even then. I tell myself once we get our bedroom painted and decorated and actually "done", then I'll make it every day because it'll look so much nicer... yeah right. My toenails are painted... from about 6 weeks ago. Good thing sandal weather is gone!! And we have absolutely no plans for this weekend. probably laundry, movies, napping, and more laundry. I know! Aren't we exciting!! I think we all need a little time to recoop from the holidays and visitors and everything. I feel like we're just now coming up for air from the whole month of December!

There's a couple feet of snow, I think.

I go on kicks when I make our bed in the morning every day, because it stays neat enough if you do it every day that it takes about two seconds. Eventually I'll miss doing it a day or two and then I just let it be unmade until I'm motivated enough to make it up.

My toenails are somewhere in between. :)

It's my husband's birthday today, and we're going out for a nice dinner. Tomorrow, snowmobiling, and hopefully relaxing/working around the house on Sunday!

Have a great weekend! :)

There is leftover snow on the ground, usually we don't make our beds during the week only on the weekends. My toenails are semi-painted...I do have a new color I'd like to try...maybe this weekend! Our plans for the weekend are to relax, unwind from the work week, unpack and put away Christmas presents and maybe catch a movie! :)

There is snow on the ground here. We haven't seen the ground since December 1, I think, and I wonder if we'll see it before April 1.

I don't make our bed. I wish I did. I always get up first, John sleeps in, and I never seem to go back to it. I wish I taught my kids to make their beds (I mean, they know how, but I don't require them to do it.)

My toenails are half painted. Just don't ask about the state of my legs!

A quiet weekend around here. John and I are trying to figure out if we can work a date in. We NEED a date. But neither of us seem to be planners, so we'll probably just stay home.
