gift ideas

I'm sorry for those of you that don't care, but you'll have to excuse me for a minute while I talk about Christmas lists...
We've had a few family members asking for lists and instead of emailing or trying to remember on the phone or telling you you'll have to figure it out on your own, I'm giving you the rundown here since I know you all read this.

First off, can you guess what's coming here? My kids really don't need anymore toys!!! I am including some toys on the lists, as most of these things that are ongoing type collections... but really. They have plenty. I would much prefer clothes or books or even puzzles, games and music. However, I realize Christmas isn't Christmas without at least some toys for the kids, so just don't go overboard, mmkay?

Clothes: Savannah wears a size 5 tops and 4 bottoms, and Sawyer wears a size 3T on top and 2T bottoms. Shoes 10 and 6.5 respectively.

Savannah is into anything Dance/Ballerina, anything Dress-Up, and anything Princess. Also anything Arts and Crafts.
Specifically, she love love loves Barbie Island Princess right now and also wants to expand her almost non-exixtent Polly Pocket collection.
As far as Barbie goes, I've never been a fan and had wanted to put Barbie off as long as possible. I'm realizing though, that though she knows the name brand Barbie, she doesn't realized there are just normal everyday Barbies. She so far thinks of Barbie as all princesses, as in the Twelve Dancing Princesses, the Island Princess, and the Disney Princess barbie dolls (the only ones she owns are the Ariel and the Belle dolls) (I think those are 9.99 at Target or Walmart). It seems I don't mind so much that way. I guess it's like she understands that princess stuff is all kind of pretend and to her it's all about the fancy dresses and the parties and not about the Barbie body in a bikini or wearing everyday jeans and belly shirts with that huge chest and teeny waist.
Anyway, back to the subject.

Sawyer loves anything sports and that's about it. Sports, animals, cars and trucks, and musical instruments.

They have plenty of Signing Time videos, and they both are taking a hiatus from those for the time being, so we're probably good on those for now.
They both love all the Max and Ruby videos and Sawyer's new favorite show is Peep and the Big Wide World. It's the only show he asks for by name. I love it too, as it's a fun way for them to learn science and stuff!
I put lots of all of those on our Amazon list.

The Amazon list.
Last year I made up a short list, and I think some of you looked at it, some of you didn't. That's fine. I don't expect you to only go by our ideas. There are plenty of great things out there that I've sure never seen.
However. Last Christmas we got almost a dozen duplicate gifts. So, if it's a common toy, check the list. The list acts like a registry and if you buy it, it comes off the list. If you want to buy something that is on the list, or similar to something on the list, but you do not want to buy it from Amazon, let Ryan or I know so we can remove it from the list and not get it twice!
And please send gift receipts if it's something that we would be able to exchange here, in case there are still instances of doubles.

So here's our Amazon list. I also added a link to the side bar over here --->
so you can find it easily anytime.

Oh, yeah. I guess I should include Ryan and myself as well.
Well actually we both need clothes. I'm realizing I don't have much that fits me right now and Ryan's suddenly wearing out all of his pants and jeans at once. So gift cards are nice. I'm mostly focused on house decorating. And we need a vacuum. I know... boring stuff.
There are a few things on the Amazon list and I'll try to get more ideas on there. There are lots of books I want. Oh, and games are always good.
