it's still hot ...and "Paba's" coming!

Wow. I know I keep complaining about the heat... I'm not really full-on complaining, as in whining about it... I just keep talking about it because I just can't get over it. It was 80 degrees outside when I woke up this morning at 6:30AM. It's supposed to be 103 in another 3 hours. We're (hopefully) getting a break and getting temperatures back into the *normal range* of the low 90's for this weekend and next week.

I hope so, because Nicole and Porter and coming to visit next week and I want to be able to show them around St. Louis a bit... Forest Park and the zoo at least, without all of us melting in the heat.
Yay!! I'm soooo excited to have them come down and stay with us!!

I can't believe I forgot to mention the other day when we were at the bookstore for the storytime...
We were sitting in the circle and a little boy and his mommy came in late. They must be regulars because the girl reading the stories remarked, "Well, Hi Porter! Our friend Porter is here guys!". Well when Sawyer heard that he jumped up and his eyes got wide and he started looking around clapping asking me, "Paba? Paba?" So cute, as he was obviously excited and looking around for his friend... and he was a little confused when he couldn't find him.

I'm curious to see if he's really that excited to see him face to face next week! I'm not going to say anything about who's coming and just see what his reaction is when they walk in the door... if he remembers him, if he's excited, if they could each care less...
You never can tell with these toddler creatures!!
