sad to see the weekend gone...

Ryan's time off between jobs ends tonight. Back to work, back to the routine tomorrow. We tried to take advantage of his last few days off this weekend. We visited the St. Louis Zoo on Friday. Can I just say how awesome is it that the zoo and so many other things in this city are free? Several museums and the Science Center are free as well as so many other great things around the city. We cannot wait to make our way to all of them!
But for now... here is the kids' first trip to our new (free!) zoo.
Savannah was so excited to be back at a zoo with elephants... her favorite! She barely looked at any animal we came across, wanting to keep walking, saying, "okay, are the elephants next?"

Also this weekend we watched a couple of movies, got our rooms a little more situated, painted the kitchen (well half of it anyway... we painted two walls Apple Green and the rest will be the same taupe that runs into the family room), and just hung out a lot. The house is just in enough order that it almost felt like just a normal hang out at home kind of weekend. Almost. We still have a long way to go! I'll try to get a few pictures of the house up this week.
