i heart faces- cropped

This week at I Heart Faces, the theme is "Creative Crop" and although I had high aspirations of taking that challenge and creating a new picture, I ran out of time and am resorting back to this one in my files of SJ.

I thought of this one for the "Creative Crop" theme because I remember snapping it and thinking, "Great, I got the four-year-old-uber-cheesy smile...". Here's the original: And while there's nothing wrong with that -after all, uber-cheesy smiles from four-year-olds are to be expected- I did end up playing around with it (I liked the flower stuck casually in her hair) and really like the closeness of just getting the wide open expression of her eyes, making them much more the focus.

This is now one of my favorites of her... I don't know what it is, but something about this shot of this girl and her bright eyes and the simple flower in her hair always makes me smile.

For more creatively cropped images, check out I Heart Faces this week!

When I see this picture, her eyes & the yellow flower pop out to me and I love that!
