evening excursion

We went across the street to feed the ducks tonight... This is the pond that's sort of across the way kitty corner to our house. We've been taking many walks past the ducks and the kids have been bugging me to stop and feed them, so this evening we moseyed on over there after dinner with some stale hamburger buns :)The bread was gone pretty quickly, but then much to my surprise the kids took a seat and just watched the ducks swimming for awhile... just taking in the water and the sinking sun and enjoying the moment. It was so nice I could have honestly sat there all evening and watched the sunset over our little pond.
It's official... I cannot wait for summer!

your pond is so much prettier than ours in our neighborhood! but, we do frequently stop in the spring and summer to feed the fish, ducks and crawdads.

btw, do you want to take some pictures of my kids sometime? love, love, love the shots you get of yours :)

Your kids are adorable! And what a beautiful neighborhood.

I have a tip about saving bread for feeding the ducks that might interest you:
