share the love

Swistle has started a massive group effort for a Pay-it-Forward type of make someone's day, we all love winning something, let's share the love kind of movement.
She's calling it Pay-it Forward; I didn't much care for that movie and can't get past that title, so for my purposes here, I'm calling it 'Share the Love'. Much more deliciously cheesy. :)
Also, she refers to it as a contest, which puts the emphasis on the winning, while I'm leaning to something more like the word crusade... "an organized effort to accomplish a purpose"; said purpose being to pass on the bloggy love... LOL! So there you have it. Welcome to the first installment of my Share the Love Crusade.

Here's how it works.
I want to make your day, I know you want to win something, and I want to share the love. So I'm going to make up a little goody box to send to a random winner. All you have to do is leave a comment on this post by noon ( my time central time) on this Friday, July 4th. I will then randomly pick from the commenters a winner and that commenter will be sent my little goody package.
THEN. Here's the share the love part. If you win, you must pay it forward share the love. In this context, it means it's your turn to assemble a package and pick someone else to mail it to. Then that someone will find a "winner" and send on another "prize", and so on and so forth. Until we're all passing the love around all over the place. There's that cheese again.

You can participate even if you don't have a blog (Although my personal opinion is start a blog already). If you're not a blogger, just email me and I'll enter you in my drawing and throw your name in with the commenters. Then if you win, to keep the cycle going, either I can do a post for you here and you can pick from the comments on "your post", or you can just pass on the love to someone you know in real life; just pick a random person you know and surprise them with a little care package! It's all about just passing on that little bit of something nice to put a smile on someone's face... and the real world is just as important as the cyber world!
(It's just more fun to see it unfold on blogs so we can all see the goodies everyone gets! :) )

So that's the fun around here this week. Oh, and the goody box is a mystery... part of the fun. Will I bake something to send? Will I buy something? Create something? Rummage through my junk drawer regift closet for something? Go Target Clearance shopping? Taylor a package specifically for the winner or just randomly purchase a generic gift card for whoever might win? I'll let you know when the contest's up. I can't wait to see what I decide!!
